Compassionate Carbon protects hundreds of thousands of hectares of African forest while creating sustainable livelihoods for hundreds of thousands of people through high-integrity carbon projects with 40-year community commitments. Operating across Tanzania, Kenya, and planned Zambia expansion, CC demonstrates what landscape-scale restoration looks like when communities lead the effort and patient capital enables long-term partnership.
Eden sustaining members provide the philanthropic capital supporting CC’s community engagement and co-benefit work—foundational activities carbon finance alone won’t fund during the years before projects reach self-sustainability. This includes comprehensive community consent processes, land tenure security, sustainable livelihood development, and transparent benefit-sharing mechanisms.

How is my donation used?
Eden allocates resources to maximize field impact: approximately 75–80% of contributions are deployed directly to implementation partners conducting restoration work. The remainder supports partner evaluation and monitoring (10–15%), fundraising (5–8%), and operations (5–8%). We maintain lean headquarters operations so more of your support reaches landscape restoration.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
Yes. Eden: People+Planet is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (Tax ID: 95-4804581). Your contribution is tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law. You’ll receive an automated receipt via email immediately after your gift, and an annual tax summary in January.
How does monthly giving work?
Monthly gifts are processed automatically on the date you set them up. You can update your amount, change your payment method, or cancel anytime through your account—no questions asked. If your payment method expires, we’ll email you to update it before your next charge.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) and bank account transfers (ACH). All payment processing is secure through Stripe, which meets the highest security standards in the industry.
How do I manage my recurring donation?
Log into your account at giving.eden-plus.org and navigate to “My Subscriptions.” You can update your amount, change your payment method, pause temporarily, or cancel—all without contacting us. Changes take effect immediately.
How is my personal information protected?
Your data is encrypted during transmission and storage. Payment information is never stored on our servers—Stripe handles all sensitive data securely. We don’t sell or share your information with third parties,
What if my donation didn’t go through?
Check your payment method (card expiration, account balance). We send email notifications if payment fails—check your spam folder. If issues persist, contact info@eden-plus.org with your donation details and we’ll help troubleshoot.
